Malpensa airport

Getting there by public transport
Malpensa airport, located 48 km from the city, is the main airport in northern Italy thanks to its many national and international connections. It has two Terminals, connected to each other 24 hours a day, by a free shuttle bus service equipped for wheelchair passengers.

The "Malpensa Express" trains, run by Trenord, connect the two Terminals of the airport to Milano Cadorna railway station (served by the underground trains of the M1 and M2 lines) and Milano Centrale railway station (served by the underground trains of the M2 and M3 lines) with an intermediate stop at Milano Porta Garibaldi railway station (M2 and M5 lines).
"Malpensa Express" trains are accessible to people with disabilities: they have a lowered floor, places reserved for people with disabilities, wheelchair bays, a fully equipped bathroom, and visual and sound communication systems with announcements in Italian and English.
At least 2 days before the journey, passengers with reduced mobility are invited to contact Trenord at the dedicated
toll-free number 800.210.955, to define their transport needs and book assistance

A bus service, run by Autostradale Malpensa Bus Express company and Malpensa Shuttle, connect Terminals 1 and 2 of Malpensa Airport to Milano Stazione Centrale (railway station) and Rho Fiera.
Malpensa Shuttle also connects the two airports of Linate and Malpensa;

Malpensa is connected to the Orio al Serio airport and to Monza by the buses run by Orioshuttle
The company has some vehicles equipped with lift for wheelchairs, but the service must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.

In the areas in front of the Arrivals, the Departures and the Sheraton Hotel of Terminal 1 there is the so-called "10 Minutes Area", a camera-controlled parking area (the service records license plates) allowing passengers a short free stop for loading and unloading (maximum 10 minutes).
Cars with a disabled pass holder and persons with reduced mobility who have requested the "Sala Amica" assistance service can stop in the 10 minutes Area up to a maximum of 4 hours.

To get this special permit, you need to fill in the form at the following link
Registration can be made before entering the "10 minutes area" or within three days after parking.
